Reality...

We ask for tools, we never have and we never use the ones we do have.  

Sorry guys...but this blog thing doesn't work at all. We can come up with excuses, here is my list:

- we're too early for the blog

- we're too late for the blog

- there is too much to compete with FB, orkut, twitter et al

- what's there to blog about?

- way too busy!!!

- can't blog from work

- let's face it - our church is not in the e-thing...

- recession has me finger-tied, i can't type

- we've not started the hi-tech service yet!!! 

- the blog is way to technical..

Its way too boring to keep staring at my own posts. So, ciao folks.

Admin rights for the blog have been transferred to Jose.

Long time...

It's been a while...I have written anything on the blog.

Not that nothing eventful has happened in our lives, just that I've been caught up too - in the grind??

I want to thank God 

- for Liz's healing.

- for Tony Jr.

- Julie's healing.

- my Grand mother's healing

- God's provision in our lives

I want to encourage all of us to pray for the following:

- Kids' club summer event

- Church registration

- Worship workshop

- Health for all during this summer - looks like a long hot summer!!

- The leaders God has chosen for our Nation and State.

- The remaining stages of election will go on without violence and would be fair.

- Protection for christians from fundementalist forces.

- enough water supply in the twin cities - yeah! pray for the rain

Offering Time Suggestion

Can we have the kids sing a song - every week during the offering time? Sunday school teachers can train them for the following week's song.

Testimony

This Sunday I sought God, that my gifts be useful for the church. I prayed and was reading the bible. God prompted me to read the beatitudes and also speak from Matt 11:28. I thank God for the blessing.

Ministry(to me) is when I partner with the Holy Spirit in using my gifts to glorifying God. 

I would like to quote Joymon - 'In those days, Enoch walked with God. After a while Enoch was not seen, only God was left. But these days a lot of people start walking with God. After a while we don't see God.' 

 

The effectiveness of my ministry is evident - when I'm not seen and He is displayed.

Lord!! make us effective minsters of Your gospel. Amen.

Sunday Service

Just wanted to express thanks to God for this week's service. New format was a welcome change. I personally felt good ending the service with an uplifting song. Worship team did a great job - thank you Dexter, Adu, Tiqwah and Mintu.And Church!!! I'm sure there is a smile on Jesus' face. 

At this time - I would like to express one of my several requests: I personally think we should have a time of praying for people at the end of every service. It needn't be the entire church, but atleast a few of us should stay back to pray for those that need healing, restoration and issues. 

And every week - an announcement should be made - welcoming people to seek prayer. By doing this, not only do we show our love and care to the people, we also seek God's intervention into situations immediately (than forgetting to do so in the midst of the weekly buzz).
